I don't know how this was in its original form, being a former rom hack, but, this leans heavily towards being more VN with a sprinkle of RPG, than a VN-RPG hybrid, as tagged. The art style/detail is on point outside of combat. It's more of a 'if you've played the things it takes inspiration from, you will recognize them.' None of what I've seen scream 'new', for me, personally. The demo is quite short, and I feel it doesn't really showcase what you're planning for this game. I'm not very good at pointing out things in an eloquent manner, so, here we go: I just finished this demo, and I don't have many complaints so far. But as is so often the case, outward appearances can be deceptive.
